A body camera has been recovered from a photographer’s body, according to reports.
A woman identified only as Samantha told CNN affiliate WTNH that she was walking her dog when she was approached by a man who told her he had found her body.
He said that she had been shot twice and that she would need to be buried.
She was taken to a hospital and identified on Sunday as Samantha Rios, who has worked for The Associated Press since 2012.
Rios’ body was found in an area near the intersection of East and Main Streets in West Hartford, Connecticut, police said.
CNN is working to confirm details about the case.
A body cam was recovered from the body of photographer Drew Barrymore, who was killed in a shooting in New York in May 2017.
The photographer’s mother said the camera had been taken off the photographer’s hand before it was recovered.
CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski contributed to this report.
